Time Between Two Times

Enter two times and get the duration between them in hours and minutes — nothing more, nothing less.

Calculations happen in your browser. The times you enter are never uploaded and are not sent to analytics.

A Simple Duration Calculator

This is the minimal version of the time calculator: two clock times in, one duration out. It is designed for quick everyday questions like “how long is it from 09:40 to 10:25?” (45 minutes) or “how long until 18:00 if it is 14:20 now?” (3h 40m).

Overnight Handling

If the second time is earlier than the first, the duration crosses midnight — 23:30 to 00:30 is 1 hour. That is how most people think about overnight windows, so it is the default here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this different from the main time calculator?

It uses the same arithmetic with a simpler interface: no breaks, no advanced options — just two times.

Can I see decimal hours here?

Use the main time calculator or the hours to decimal converter for decimal output.

Does it count the end minute?

The duration is the difference between the two times; the end minute itself is not counted as an extra minute.
