How the Split Works
Total hours up to the threshold are regular; everything above it is overtime. With a 40 hour threshold, 38 hours stays regular, 40 hours has no overtime, and 43.5 hours splits into 40 regular and 3.5 overtime.
Estimated Pay Is Arithmetic Only
If you enter an hourly rate and a multiplier (1.5 by default), the calculator estimates regular pay plus overtime pay with integer-cent arithmetic. It does not calculate tax withholding, net pay, or compliance with any overtime law.
