Hours Calculator

Add any number of durations such as 2h 30m and 1h 45m and see the total, with the decimal-hours equivalent for timesheets and payroll.

Calculations happen in your browser. The times you enter are never uploaded and are not sent to analytics.

Adding Hours and Minutes

Enter each duration as “2h 30m”, “2:30” or “90m” — the calculator understands all three. Each value is converted to seconds, summed, and only then formatted back, so the total is exact: 2h 30m + 1h 45m = 4h 15m.

Decimal Hours for Payroll

Alongside the hours-and-minutes total you get the decimal equivalent: 4h 15m is 4.25 decimal hours. Decimal hours divide minutes by 60, so 7:30 is 7.50 — not 7.30.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many durations can I add?

As many as you need — use “Add duration” for each extra line.

What formats are accepted?

“2h 30m”, “2:30”, “90m”, “1h 15m 10s” and similar. Plain numbers are treated as hours.

Can I subtract instead?

Yes — the subtract time calculator subtracts one duration from another and handles negative results.
